Admissions

We are delighted that you are considering Stanah Primary School for your child.

Stanah Primary School is a community school and admissions are managed through Lancashire County Council. On this page you will find the main links you need for applying for a school place, changing schools during the year, and finding information about appeals.

Starting School in Reception

If your child is due to start primary school in September 2026, applications should be made through Lancashire County Council.

Applying During the School Year

If your child would like to join Stanah Primary School after the school year has started, you will need to make an in-year application through Lancashire County Council.

Appeals and Waiting Lists

If you are not offered a place at Stanah Primary School, Lancashire County Council provides guidance on waiting lists and the appeals process.

Visit Our School

We welcome visits from prospective families and are always happy to show parents and carers around our school.

To arrange a visit or ask any admissions-related questions, please contact the school office.

New Starters

Once your child has been offered a place, we will ask you to complete our new starter forms. These include admission information, photo consent, acceptable use, local visits, and medical information. We will also need to see your child’s birth certificate before they start school.
